Where to find the best matcha in Paris

Paris may be the capital of croissants and café crème, but a quiet green revolution is brewing in the city—matcha lovers, this one’s for you.

Yes, I did it. I officially traded in my go-to Starbucks iced caramel macchiato for a matcha. But it was all for a good cause, as I wanted to curate the perfect list for my matcha girls out there. So whether you’re a seasoned matcha drinker or a curious café hopper, here’s where to find the best matcha in Paris!

But first, what is matcha and why is everyone obsessed?

Matcha is a finely ground powder made from specially grown and processed green tea leaves. Originating in Japan, this ceremonial tea has become a global wellness phenomenon thanks to its antioxidant-rich benefits and earthy, energizing flavor. Unlike regular green tea, you’re drinking the whole leaf—so you’re getting a natural kick of caffeine and calm in one gorgeous green cup.

1. Maison du Matcha – Le Marais

📍 14 Rue Rambuteau, 75003 Paris
What I ordered: White chocolate strawberry matcha with almond milk

Nestled in the heart of Le Marais, Maison du Matcha is a minimalist haven dedicated entirely to green tea. This Japanese-style matcha café in Paris is known for its gorgeous lattes, but the true standout is their white chocolate strawberry matcha—not too sweet, velvety, and unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. Think earthy matcha perfectly balanced with fruity brightness and indulgent chocolate notes.

2. Creamy Daily Paris

📍 34 Rue Beaubourg, 75003 Paris
what I ordered: Mango matcha with oat milk

Creamy Daily is known, as the name suggests it, for their creamy, smooth matcha! Their mango matcha latte with almond milk has the perfect mix of matcha, milk, and fruit! And you can actually sit and sip on my drink. But be patient as on weekends the line is quite long!

3. Matcha Social Club

📍 56 Rue de la Verrerie, 75004 Paris
What I ordered: Mango matcha with oat milk

A sleek, modern tea bar where Japanese matcha meets Parisian lifestyle cool. At first, I thought the place was a laundry place or something like that! As for their matcha I think it’s for real matcha lovers as it’s quite strong.

4. Happy Lemon Paris

📍 22 Rue de Turbigo, 75002 Paris
What I ordred: Mango matcha with coconut milk

Straight from Asia and newly landed in Paris, Happy Lemon brings bubble tea culture into the matcha scene. Their mango matcha with coconut milk is by far my favorite! But they also offer bubble waffles,  and different signature tea drinks like their   freshly squeezed lemon teas.

So am I a matcha girl now? I’m not gonna lie, I enjoyed discovering new flavors and territories, and my favorite from all these places was definitely the Happy Lemon one! But, you’re not gonna see me walking around in my Lululemon attire, holding a yoga mat, and sipping on a matcha drink quite yet!
